Reid Williams of No Don’t Stop set out to kick off the Bleached Bones Tour at the Corner Pub in Vancouver, British Columbia on Oct 19th, 2011. Reid started out the evening with a cover of Wilco’s “Bob Dylan’s 49th Beard” and continued to grab the crowd’s attention with a stripped down set full of No Don’t Stop songs. In the summer of 2011, Matt wanted to throw a party and have a house band set up on the back of a flat-bed truck in his yard. A few local artists got together and played some original and cover songs for everyone that attended. The lineup included a solo performance by Kelly Girvan, an all-star bluegrass set with Mike Boyd (Boomer) and Jeff Ellis from the Maple Mountain Boys, a short but lively set from No Don’t Stop, the Mattapalooza house band played party favorites for a couple of hours and then, after the crowd dissipated, there was also a late night performance by The Hidden Tracks.
Dec 10, 2010: During a friends birthday celebration, we didn’t have any cake. Instead we subjected our ears to The Schomberg Fair and our eyes to Big John Bates and the Voodoo Dolls.
A few Cowichan Valley locals gathered in the common room of a vacant house to play some music on the snooker table. Good times were had by all until the home owner showed up.
